Very interesting interview, and I totally agree with Amy's perspective. Also to hear another Christian woman speak so clearly on Trump and his admissions on tape about sexually assaulting women was refreshing. How politics have become so mixed up in a lot of (Evangelical) churches is frightening. But I keep saying it: these are the times of the wheat and the tares, the five wise and five foolish virgins...

It’s so encouraging to hear you both saying the same things I’ve been thinking since Trump come on the political scene. My pastor has taught the Bible clearly and faithfully all these many years but I am sorely disappointed that he’s never called out Trump’s bullying, his disrespect, his ungodliness. I feel isolated and looked down upon in my church home.

I look forward to reading your book and hearing more of your podcasts, Pat. Thank you both.

I grew up in a wonderful Baptist Church that taught me so much. Then, in the late 1970's, the fundamentalists began a power grab. They did whatever it took to take over. When they gained power, they kicked out good leaders and Seminary Professors. At that time I sadly left that church. I also knew that their next goal would be political power. And here we are.

This was just what I needed. I am going to check out Amy’s book.

Adam Kinzinger is a great follow out here on Substack.

I wish more women I know who have been caught up in their church thinking Trump was appointed by God would read your book and hear your story. Thank you for sharing your journey. God bless you!

There is one point I want to note down in passing for now. I am still thinking over it.

The thing is grief. I'm glad it was mentioned. I was feeling for Pat making this life change and setting out in this new direction. And -- for me -- such things get me in touch with grief.

I believe there is an ocean of unmanaged and unresolved grief out here. I would like to try to talk about it a little.

Thanks, Thomas. I’ve got a few levels of grief that I carry with me all the time. I just don’t talk about it much because a lot of it is outside the scope of what my work is about. But it means that I can never forget the impact this messed-up time in our nation has on people who are just trying to get through some really hard things in life.

Thank you, Pat. I've been thinking about this today. My only offering so far is speculation of how much more challenging it is to work with others when they are struggling with unresolved grief.

You have actual Christians saying they know who Christians are from their actions not from what they say this Russian syndicate is the Antichrist there's satanic in nature they're pedophiles and predators the dumpster has admitted at least four times that I'm aware of that he rigged the elections and nothing's been done the Satanist are trying to take control of the world

How many people think there's a coincidence that the Pope that was speaking out against the satanic people died 2 hours after meeting Vance how many he denounced all of them
